New Publication: The Prodromal Synucleinopathy Rating Scale (PSRS)
🧠✨ Exciting News from the NAPS Community! ✨🧠
The North American Prodromal Synucleinopathy (NAPS) Consortium is pleased to announce the publication of our manuscript, "The Prodromal Synucleinopathy Rating Scale: An Assessment in Patients with REM Sleep Behavior Disorder," in Neurology.
As the field advances to clinical trials that are focused on delaying or preventing Parkinson's disease, dementia with Lewy bodies, and multiple system atrophy, effective tools for measuring the breadth and severity of prodromal symptoms in people with REM Sleep Behavior Disorder (RBD) are becoming increasingly important.
💡 The Prodromal Synucleinopathy Rating Scale (PSRS) was developed by NAPS Consortium to assess symptom burden across multiple domains in individuals with RBD. The scale evaluates seven key domains: cognitive, behavioral/psychiatric, motor-axial, motor-appendicular, autonomic, sleep, and sensory function.
Thank you to all of our NAPS participants who made this research possible!
