The American Academy of Sleep Medicine has released updated clinical guidelines for treating REM Sleep Behavior Disorder (RBD). Affecting over 80 million worldwide, RBD is linked to neurological disorders like Parkinson’s and dementia.

Recommendations include medications like melatonin and clonazepam, plus injury-prevention tips like removing sharp furniture and using soft mats. The goal: safer sleep and earlier intervention.
