Data Request Form Instructions

Thank you for your interest in collaborating with the NAPS Consortium. To help ensure a smooth review process, please take a moment to look over the reminders below before beginning your Data Request Form.

Before You Begin

Submission timeline:

Requests are due by the 1st of even-numbered months (February, April, June, August, October, and December) for review during the following odd-numbered month. If you are requesting biofluids, neuroimaging data, or polysomnogram data, the appropriate NAPS Core leaders will also review your proposal before approval.

Form completion:

The NAPS Data Request Form must be completed in one sitting, as partial submissions cannot be saved and resumed later.

Policies and background:

Materials to prepare in advance:

  • Please have your research protocol ready to upload as a Word or PDF (preferably 1 page, maximum 3 pages), including:
    • Aims and hypotheses
    • Requested data and/or biospecimens
    • Analytic plan
    • Power calculations

IRB status:

If IRB approval has already been obtained, please have the IRB number and an electronic copy of the approval memo available for upload.

Please note: Submitting the form below is the first step in the process. Once received, your request will be assigned a Request ID. Please reference this ID in all future correspondence. Following an administrative prereview, the request will undergo full review by the NAPS Data & Biospecimen Committee, which meets every other month. To support timely review and responsible data use, please ensure your request and protocol clearly reflect the resources needed to accomplish your proposed aims.
